last night I also watched #Split.
I'm now ready to see #Glass!
Format: #4K #UltraHD #Bluray
Synopsis: Three girls are kidnapped by a man with a diagnosed 23 distinct personalities. They must try to escape before the apparent emergence of a frightful new 24th.
"They say this one has a surprise ending." Although the wait was long, Shyamalan smartly delivered Split after The Visit - a film that wasn't derided by critics and the public like some of his more recent fare. That goodwill bought the ability to make Split, and we get a well crafted drama that, like most Shyamalan films, is a slow burn movie but pays dividends at the end.
McAvoy carries the film with an excellent performance, though Taylor-Joy also impresses. The ending is what really gives the film its final boost.
I've always been a Shyamalan fan. Naturally, I don't gush over the films in the middle of his filmography but I count some of his work amongst my favourite films. #Signs
are two of them. I'm looking forward to finally seeing the culmination of this trilogy.

We get a moderate upgrade with this release. Fine detail does show a nice bump in clarity. Textures and skin pores resolve more clearly. There's some really nice colour depth too, especially in the forest scenes.
While this release doesn't feature an upgraded DTS-X mix, the quality of the 5.1 mix is great. It's a fairly dialogue heavy affair, but all of it is rendered well. That's critical when one actor is portraying someone with multiple personalities. All of the dialogue nuances are captured. In addition, there are some excellent moments where suspense and thrills are heightened by the effective use of the surround channels.
