Ya, ya so this was supposed to be a healthy hamantashen post but when that totally backfired I took the dough, mixed it with my also #fail
homemade jam and turned them into balls. Then dipped them in white chocolate. Yes I know not the healthiest. :/ Yet they’ve become I think one of my favorite raw treats.
Why? Because if it’s epic flavor combo, it’s a peanut butter base mixed with my home made date and cranberry jam. And then the white chocolate totally completes the combo by balancing out the tart flavor from the cranberries! .
Mix in a bowl until dough forms -
1/2 cup of peanut butter
1 pinch of salt
1/4 cup of maple syrup
1 1/3 cup of almond flour -
Then there’s a few options:
*either mix in about 3/4 cup of jam into the dough *or just use any dried fruit of preference, u recommend to chop up the fruit and using one with more moisture. * what I did:
1/2 cup cranberries/ chop them up more finely
1/2 cup dates
Put in Vitamix with 2 TBSP of hot water and blend
Then mix in the mixture with the dough - form balls then dip into melted white chocolate ->
1 cup of white chcolate chips
3 tbsp coconut oil * honestly next time I make these I’m going to have to find a healthy white chocolate.
