To my fellow vegan pals out there: you know that feeling when you go to eat out with your friends or family and mentally prepare yourself in advance that all you’ll have is a couple of bland potatoes with three pieces of sad looking leaf or tomato?
And then you find a vegan restaurant, and there’s SO much choice you just get a brain freeze and stand there for a solid ten minutes trying to make up your mind, already mourning the options you’ll have to miss out on? Yeah, this happened to me at @zoeloveslaspalmas, this charming little bistro in Las Palmas. .
While it’s a vegetarian restaurant, their vegan selection is incredible! We visited in the morning, so after much debate, I went for the toasted bagel filled with Spanish tortilla and chorizo - all vegan, of course (swipe to see 👀). I also had the chance to expand my plant based milk-knowledge and can now safely declare that hazelnut rice milk is the tastiest of them all. Shame we only spent a day in Las Palmas - I would’ve eaten up the restaurant’s entire menu. Also, besides offering organic food, they also aim at producing as little waste of possible - exactly the type of eatery we need as many as possible of 💚
P.S. This is a completely different coral-coloured wall from the one in my previous post, in a completely different city - is this some sort of wizardry?!
